Doug Jeffery obtained a BSc majoring in Botany and Zoology at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and went on to obtain a MSc in Botany also at UCT. Doug has worked extensively in the Western, Southern and Eastern Cape both as a professional botanist and co-ordinating EIA processes for more than 30 years.

Doug has been registered since 1990 with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions as a Natural Scientist in terms of Section 18 of the Natural Scientists Act, 1982. (Reg Number – 159/90) 

Doug is also registered as a Professional Environmental Assessment Practitioner with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa. (Reg. No. 2019/1746)

Adél Groenewald obtained a BSc degree in Geography at the University of the Free State. Adél has gained experience as an Environmental Assessment Practitioner working on various projects in the Free State, Northern Cape, Gauteng, Limpopo and Western Cape Provinces. Adél has been with the company since 2016.

Tyron Momberg holds a BSc in Biodiversity and Conservation Biology from the University of the Western Cape.  Tyron has several years’ experience in his field and has worked on major Eskom sites such as Mookodi Substation, 400KV transmission lines and Kusile Power station. Some of the courses he has completed include Environmental Law, Implementing ISO 14001 EMS and is a trained snake handler. Tyron has been with the company since January 2016.

Marais Geldenhuys obtained a BA degree majoring in Geography and Development Studies, an Honours degree in Geography and Environmental Management and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management, all from the University of Johannesburg. He has also completed a Masters certificate in Social Impact Assessment and Public Participation through the Sociology Department of the University of Johannesburg. He has 4 years working experience as an environmental assessment practitioner, and has worked on projects throughout Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, North-West and the Western Cape.

Frede Benadé graduated in 2015 with a BSc degree in Conservation Ecology at the University of Stellenbosch. After working as a Priority Species monitor on a Private game reserve in Kwazulu-Natal he moved to Upington where he was the Environmental Site Agent on three 75MW Solar farms. In June of 2020 he joined Doug Jeffery Environmental Assessment Practitioners as a Junior Environmental Consultant.

Johnny Volmink is a retired school principal with 33 years of teaching experience. Currently Johnny operates as an office assistant and driver.  He is responsible for coordinating the compilation and delivery of reports, as well as for the driving of personnel. He has been with the company since 2007.
